PASSOVER, True Meaning 6|Ahnsahnghong!

Thursday, December 31, 2009

In AD 325, the Passover was abolished by the Nicea Council under the leadership of Roman Emperor Constantine. Therefore, no one was able to keep the Passover since that time as Jesus Christ commanded. Then, how can anyone be forgiven of their sins and have eternal life? This period was known as the Dark Ages. But merciful God, opened up the way in the OT so that the Israelites born in the desert were able to keep the Passover. The very next day, they were in the promised land of Canann. This prophecy too is to be fulfilled nowadays.
In Isiah 25:6-9, God said that death is swallowed up forever thru aged wine. For a long time, since 325 AD, Passover was not celebrated. However, merciful God, 2nd coming Christ, Christ Ahnsahnghong, brought back the Passover in these days to Mount Zion. That's why we can say with confidence, surely this is our God! He brought salvation to us sinners who were destined to destruction and freed us from sin! Therefore, we can go back to our promised land- THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN! THANK YOU, HEAVENLY FATHER, CHRIST AHNSAHNGHONG!

PASSOVER, True Meaning 5|Ahnsahnghong!

In the book of 1Corinthians 11:23-25, Apostle Paul said, " For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you. The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, He broke it and said, This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me." In the same way after the supper he took the cup saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me". Apostle Paul followed the examples of Jesus Christ even after joining the truth 10 years after Jesus resurrected. Clearly, Apostle Paul celebrated the Passover as Jesus Christ commanded his disciples to do. This is the fulfillment of the 2nd account of the Passover when in the Israelites were in the Desert of Sinai. Once again, prophecy was fulfilled.
The disciples continued to keep the Passover. However, what happend after the 2nd account of teh Israelites keeping the Passover. Did they continue? No. If you recall, God told Joshua to circumcise the Israelites again. Why? The men of military age that came out of Egypt had died because they had disobeyed the Lord. Those born in the desert had not been circumcised which was a necessary regulation to keep the Passover. Therefore, if the males were not circumcised, then this means they were not keeping the Passover, the lasting ordinance. This was also fulfilled in the New Testament.....

PASSOVER, True Meaning 4|Ahnsahnghong!

In Romans 15:4, God said, For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragment of the Scriptures we might have hope." The Old Testament is a prophecy and shadow of which its fulfillment and reality is found in the New Testament. In the Old Testament, we read the origination (Exodus 12:1-14) of the Passover that God commanded the Israelites to keep in order to escape destruction and to gain freedom. Then what is its fulfillment in the New Testament?
In Matthew 26:17-19, Jesus Christ told His disciples to prepare to celebrate the Passover. In verses 26-28, Jesus Christ celebrated the Passover and said the bread is His body and the wine His blood. In the OT, the Israelites celerated the Passover to escape slavery but in the NT, why did the disciples need to celebrate the Passover? Why do we need to celebrate the Passover? We are also slaves. Not physical slaves bound by chains but according to the Bible, we are slaves to sin and death (John 8:34)!
After the Israelites, celebrated the first Passover, they were on their way to Canaan by way of the Desert of Sinai. Spritually, we are also in a desert but this desert is our desert of faith!
Let's find out the fulfillment of the 2nd account of the Passover.

Life is in the blood|Ahnsahnghong

God created everything in this world with a purpose. In Revelation 4:11, it reads, "You are worthy, our Lord and God , to receive glory, honor and power, for you created all things and by your will they were created and have their being". Even in the blood, God created a purpose, His will.
I never realized the importance of blood. It carries the nutrients and oxygen to the cells and transfers waste away from them. Without oxygen, we cannot breathe and if we cannnot breathe, then there is no more life.
Blood banks are always looking for donors. With one donor's blood, they separate it into components that can be useful for many patients. It helps people with anemia, cancer and other potentially life threatening diseases. Then what is God's will in the creation of the blood?
Truly, life is in the blood. Thru the celebration of the Passover, at the time of Exodus, the blood was a sign. If God saw the blood, no destruction occurred. In the New Testament, Jesus Christ fulfilled the Old Testment by celebrating the Passover with His disciples, saying that the bread is His body and the wine His blood which was given for the forgiveness of sins and eternal life! If we keep the Passover as Jesus commanded, then it also serves as a sign where no destruction will come upon us. Even more so, we are allowed the forgiveness of our sins and receive the opportunity to go back to the kingdom of heaven where only eternal life exists!

Gentleness|Ahnsahnghong

In the Bible, God showed many examples of being gentle. Thru the many examples, we also to need to follow His examples. When we are gentle, we are filled with humility and kindness. Christ showed many examples of humbleness and thru His humbleness we can find many acts of love. Therefore, when we give this love to others, they can feel the love of Elohim God. Thru this we can also glorify them, I hope and pray to Elohim God that I can put their examples and teachings into practice. I want to be filled with thier love continuously so that I may also give it.

David and Goliath|Ahnsahnghong

Wednesday, December 30, 2009

I think everyone has heard and/or read about the famous story of David and Goliath in 1Samuel 17. From a physical standpoint, it is almost impossible if not definately impossible for someone to be in such a predicament and actually have a victorious encounter like David did. Sure, people sometimes relate it to real life scenarios and may have compared it to a little guy (employee) taking on the fierce and intimadating big guy (large company). And we usually know what path that goes. Companies have wealth and power while the little guy has, well, some courage to stand up.When thinking of this, again, from any persceptive you look at this, the big guy usually always wins.

However, thru the story of David and Goliath, God let me realize so many things....
David loved God so much and God was always with him. Even though David was but a small young boy, he displayed and confidently boasted about GOD. He did not wear the armor nor took a sword into battle. All he took with him was 5 smooth stones, a sling and bravely fought in the name of the Lord. WoW! When we are on God's side, we always win no matter how big or intimidating we may feel the situation is. When we truly believe in Elohim God and boldy proclaim their truth, who can stop us? No one. God's mighty power, promise and love will always TRIUMPH!

PASSOVER, True Meaning 3|Ahnsahnghong!

The Israelites celebrated the first Passover in Egypt and the second time in the Desert of Sinai.
God said that th Passover is a lasting ordinance. Let's find out if they kept it a third time? In Joshua 5:2, the Lord commanded Joshua to circumcise the Israelites again. But we were trying to find a third account of the Passover, right? Then what did circumcision have to do with the Passover? In Exodus 12:43-49, the Lord told Moses and Aaron about the regulations to keep the Passover. As we read the verses, God lets us understand that circumcision was necessary in order to keep the Passover.
When we go back to Joshua 5:2, God said that the Israelites were to be circumcised again?.? But can circumcision be done again? No. If we contimue to read Joshua 5:4-6, the men of military age who came out of Egypt had died because they had disobeyed the Lord. How? The men of military age escaped Egypt thru the Passover and were able to do so because they were circumcised-a regulation that needed to be done in order to keep the Passover. However, all those born in the desert, were they circumcised (verse 5)? No. Therefore, were they keeping the Passover, the lasting ordinance that God commanded them to keep? No. When we read verses 7-12, God allows us understand that those born in the desert, the ones that God commanded Joshua to circumcise, were the ones that were going to celebrate the Passover. In verse 10, we can clearly see that they celebrated the Passover at the appointed time of January 14th at twilight. How merciful is God! The very next day after they celebrated the Passover, they ate of the product of Canann-the land God promised them! What does all this have to do with us? Actually, the this is a prophecy!!!

PASSOVER, True Meaning 2|Ahnsahnghong!

In Exodus 12:14, God said, This is a day (Passover) you are to commemorate;for the generations to come you shall celebrate it as a festival to the Lord- a lasting ordinance. God commanded that the Passover is a festival that was to be celebrated as a lasting ordinance. Then, when the Israelites escaped Egypt by keeping the Passover, by God's promise, they were on their way to the land of Canaan. On their way to Canaan, they had to pass the Desert of Sinai. Since the Passover is a lasting ordinance and the Isralites had not reached the land that God promised them yet, should there be another account of the Passover? YES!
In Numbers (:1-3) it reads, " The Lord said to Moses in the Desert of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they came out of Egypt. He said, "Have the Israelites celebrate the Passover at the appointed time. Celebrate it at the appointed time, at twilight on the fourteenth day of this month, in accordance with all its rules and regulations." Clearly, the Israelites followed God's command and celebrated the Passover on Janury 14th in the evening. Did they continue to keep God's command?

PASSOVER, True Meaning 1|Ahnsahnghong!

Tuesday, December 22, 2009

In the time of Exodus (Exodus 12:1-14) God established the first account of the Passover with the Israelites who were in bondage of slavery in Egypt for over 430 years. The Israelites cried and prayed to God for freedom. God sent Moses to let the Israelites know to celebrate the Passover, which is a lasting ordinance, at the appointed time on January 14th at twilight by sacred calendar year. They were to take a perfect, one year old lamb and slaughter it. Then they were to take some of the blood and put it on the sides and tops of the door frames where they were. When God passed thru Egypt on the Passover night, where ever God saw the blood which was the sign, no destrucion came (10th plague of the death of the first born son). However, where ever the Passover was not kept, God sent destruction. The Israelites received their freedom and marched towards Canaan, the land God promised the Israelites, flowing with milk and honey. Since God proclaimed the Passover to be a lasting ordinance, we should see a second account of the Passover in the Desert of Sinai as the Israelites marched towards Canaan.

PASSOVER, True Meaning|Ahnsahnghong!

Passover! Passover! Passover! How important is the Passover. In the Bible, God continuously reminded us about the importance of keeping the Passover. Thru the Passover, we learned that we receive the forgiveness of sins, eternal life and Jesus Christ's body and blood. How beautiful is God's adminstration for us who were destined to die because of transgressions and sins. By keeping the Passover, we receive and appreciate God's promise. By keeping the Passover, we can understand and realize how close we are to entering the kingdom of heaven and that without the Passover, we cannot enter the kingdom of heaven.
Moreover, the Passover is a prophecy. Thru the Passover, we not only receive the forgiveness of our sins, not only do we receive eternal life but there is something hidden inside the Passover. There is a deeper meaning......

God's Safety Place|Ahnsahnghong!

Starting in Pre-K, every October, the school would have the local firemen come in and teach about fire safety. They would hand out information about fire safety, coloring books, plastic fireman hats and they would sometimes bring in the dalmation dog that rode with them in the fire engine truck. I remember it being a lot of fun, especially when they displayed the STOP, DROP and ROLL motion. What I specifically remember is how the firemen made it a point to always talk to our families about having an escape route in the event a fire broke out. They would have us draw a map of our house and pin point the exits.
I Thank God so much because thru His words, he also has a planned escape route, a safety place where He dwells. In Micah 4:1-2, it reads, In the last days, the mountain of the LORD's temple will be established as chief amoung the mountains; it will be raised above the hills, and people will stream to it. Many nations will come and say, "Come let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths." The law will go out from Zion, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
Zion, where the law of God comes from, has been established in the last days. And as God promised, many nations stream to it! God's dwelling place is Holy Mountain Zion where people know true God!

Spiritual Goals-Ahnsahnghong!

Every year in December, we look forward to a new year. The new year to put the past behind and work towards a better future. Many of us make a list of things to do, things to accomplish and things to let go. For some, it's a new job, a new diet, a new attitude and a new outlook on life.
We make promises to ourselves that we will live a more positive life to calm down the stress. Another, is to have a better appreciation of our family, friends and what we have. More importantly however, I want to strive more not only to be physically ok but spritually sound.
In the Bible, in Hosea 6:3 it reads, Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. Just as we put forth much effort in our physical lives, I want to make every effort to know GOD. As parents, we know our children very well and our children know us. In the same way, GOD our everlasting Father, gave us his teachings, examples and words of eternal life thru the Bible. I truly want to know Him and resemble Him so that He can acknowledge me. I want to accomplish this my pressing on to know him and make it a continued effort until the day we go back to heaven!
